Mehroosh is a lecturer in Agribusiness at RVC. She is an applied economist researching agricultural policies and food systems in low and middle-income countries.
Mehroosh is currently working on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Indian food systems. Beyond AMR, much of her work evaluates nutrition-sensitivity of programmes and policies using large datasets.
Mehroosh received her PhD in Economics from SOAS where she investigated the role of public expenditures in diversifying diets in India. She regularly providing monitoring and evaluation support on food systems and nutrition policies to international donors, such as the Department for International Development (DFID) and UNICEF.
Prior to joining RVC, Mehroosh worked at the Global Academy for Agriculture and Food Security based out of the University of Edinburgh and Oxford Policy Management.
